Alcoholics Anonymous on O'ahu

OAHU CENTRAL OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FRIDAY, MARCH 14, DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER FORECASTS. Our hotline will remain open; (808) 946-1438. Until the flash flood warnings have passed, we suggest you avail yourself of online meetings. Park meetings are unlikely to meet.

HelpChat

Our digital text messaging service designed to reduce barriers of communication and enable visitors to chat immediately with an A.A. member. The purpose of HelpChat is to open the doors of Alcoholics Anonymous to alcoholics who are still suffering.

HelpChat includes a group of oriented volunteers who have at least a year of sobriety, working knowledge of the 12 steps, and who are active in A.A. HelpChat messages are responded to between 9a – 1p Monday – Saturday; when we are offline, we have a message that directs visitors to our 24 hour Helpline. Face-to-Face interaction with another alcoholic is ideal, but we realize that texting and messaging has become widely adopted, and we are looking to use HelpChat as a means to welcome newcomers to A.A.
